Battery Trouble

Stranded in my motor home, I found out the importance of keeping battery cables clean. It took a lot of work on a weekend to find 6 volt deep cycle batteries. Battery acid ate through brass eyelets and cables! Baking soda and water cleaned them, but they still need replaced. I am looking for something to put on them that prevent this devastating corrosion!
