Lonesome for our Oregon Cottage
We are on our way back to the best kept secret on the West Coast--Lincoln City, Oregon. I am not a professional photographer like my esteemed grandson, Mr. Christopher DeCaro, but when God Almighty provides a scene like this sunset over the ocean from our house's back balcony, any old dork can feel like they are a professional!

Brother John: That IS an awesome photo! I have witnessed some wonderful scenes over the Newport beach as well. The clouds with the sunset can provide such an incredible variety...
I am anticipating your home-coming! It will be such a joy to see you again!
This is my first visit to your web-site, so I'm looking around for a moment or two. Blessings...and safe traveling!

Yes, There's a certain feeling of home-coming. I've heard it said from a kind, retired pastor/teacher years ago that the "sunset years" have a certain restfulness and yet an anticipation of what's on the other side. A sunset gives one that thoughtful sense of completeness. My good friend, George Holmes, has since gone over to the "other side" and enjoys the presence of our Lord. We do look to our wonderful Lord Jesus for strength each day, as well as peaceful rest through the night. He's more than enough for me....
That is a great photo!
