THE BEST INVESTMENT GOING!

Silver and gold are the BEST tax free investments. Stocks, bonds, (except some types of municipal), real estate, savings accounts…all have reports to the government and suffer tax loss. Even your home has county real estate taxes assessed. There is no annual reporting of gains in silver and gold and nothing is reported when you buy or sell physical gold and silver coins. In the last five years they have gained way over 100% in value. We are only five years into a gold and silver bull cycle. Bull cycles in gold and silver have never lasted less than 15 years in all of history, and many cycles have gone on for much longer time. The nice thing is that the average person can purchase on eBay or go into a coin shop and weekly or monthly purchase old worn gold or silver coins very near the melt value. What a deal! No tax and no inflation and better rates of interest than any other investment! Today they both hit new highs for the year!

A WAR HERO GIVES HIS LEGS

We were so grieved to hear about our 21 year old cousin, Travis Dodson, getting his legs blown off in Iraq. He is being transported to Bethsaida Hospital near DC tomorrow. We are asking everybody to pray for him and his family. He is a wonderful young man. You can read all the details of the attack and a short biography about Travis on www.travisdodson.com.

THE OREGON COAST

I wept when we got back to our Oregon home in Lincoln City today. It was so nice and felt so good to be back in one of the most beautiful places on the planet! We have everything a person could desire here. Our place is like a little bit of Heaven on earth.

A TALE OF TWO SOULS

When they were young men Gabriel and Saul worked together on VW's. Over the years they became close friends. During the course of life Gabriel became wealthy and Saul became poor and bitter. In their senior years a change came over Gabriel. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized. Saul accepted a darker life and became poorer, more negative and bitter. Now as seniors, Gabriel had compassion on his old friend and decided to take care of him by allowing Saul to move into the old house on his ranch. Saul did chores around the place and Gabriel gave him money and helped with his medical expenses. Saul was grouchy most of the time and never stopped complaining about the old run down house in which Gabriel graciously allowed him to reside. The old wood floors were buckling and the house smelled musty and it looked like it had seen its best years a long time ago. Finally, Gabriel, with the compassion of Jesus, spent thousands of dollars and built his old friend Saul a brand new house!

This week I had the opportunity to visit Gabriel. In the course of our stay we also got to visit with Saul. With Gabriel present I asked Saul how he was enjoying his new house. I wanted Gabriel to feel good about his incredibly generous gift. Much to our shock Saul began to complain about his new house. He said, "I know I don't have the vermin now, but I liked the old house better. He went on to complain about how much the old rotten floor boards were better for his knees and hips than the new house with cement flooring, even though it has thick carpet and padding!

I looked at Gabriel and saw his sad eyes and wished I had never asked Saul anything. I decided to witness to Saul and tell him about Jesus and the eternal home we have in Heaven with Him. He turned away in anger and disgust and said, "Surely you don't believe in that stuff!"

"I sure do," I replied.

Saul muttered under his breath, "Fool," as he walked away.

I thought of St. Paul's remark in I Corinthians, where he states that if we don't have a hope with Christ in Heaven, "we are of all men most miserable."

Gabriel and his precious wife are going through some terrible trials right now, but Gabriel still laughs and is positive. He has a blessed hope anchored in his Savior.

What a difference Jesus makes in our lives in this TRUE TALE OF TWO SOULS!
(I changed their real names while relating the events of this week.)

Lonesome for our Oregon Cottage

We are on our way back to the best kept secret on the West Coast--Lincoln City, Oregon. I am not a professional photographer like my esteemed grandson, Mr. Christopher DeCaro, but when God Almighty provides a scene like this sunset over the ocean from our house's back balcony, any old dork can feel like they are a professional!

Water the Miracle Cure

I have been reading Dr. Don Colbert, MD's book on The Seven Pillars of Health. The research is in and the results are astonishing about the healing power of water. He has cured multitudes of patients with many kinds of disorders by increasing their intake of water. The body loses 2 quarts per day of water. Most people do not drink enough water. The body first protects the five major organs (brain, heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys) by drawing water from all parts of the body and giving the five enough water to keep us alive. The other organs suffer and allow disease and destruction when the body doesn't take in enough water for every organ. More water can lower blood pressure, promote good sleep, slow down aging, reduce heart trouble, prevent cancer and many other diseases. Those with disease have been cured by increasing the body's water.
