It has now been four years since I shared on my blog the vision God gave to me about us living in the "times of Joseph." In the Bible God told Joseph to gather and save grain during the seven years of plenty because there would be coming seven years of famine when people that had not prepared would starve. I further shared that God impressed me to write to all my relatives and friends a warning to save (not grain) but gold and silver during the time of plenty so they would not suffer during the years of famine.
Never in the history of the world have all nations of the earth printed worthless paper money backed by nothing! The only real money is gold and silver which has never been worth nothing in the history of the world. When I first started urging people to buy gold and silver ten years ago, gold was $245 per ounce and silver was about $4.50 per ounce. Now, many of the economists echo what the Bible has predicted...a world economic collapse!
Gold has increased over five times since I started pleading for people to start buying it and silver has increased almost seven times! Gold at almost $1,400 per ounce is now pretty much out of reach for average people, but silver certainly is not at $26+ per ounce. Thirty years ago it went to $50 per ounce. When the dollar crashes and when food and commodities inflate much faster than wages, you will be thankful you praticed what God taught Joseph in getting ready for the toughest times the world has ever seen. I urge you to start purchasing some silver on a regular basis. It has far out performed every investment over the last ten years, even the great investment of gold. Silver has gained over 7% in just the last two weeks over gold's 2%!
Gold and silver can be a savior to you for the world's upcoming economic collapse but only faith in Jesus Christ can be a Savior to your eternal soul for the everlasting life to come! Where will you spend eternal life after this life is done?

The Bible says when people are saying "Peace and safety, all of a sudden calamity will strike without warning." People are saying that we are safe from a depression now and everything is looking good. I challenge anybody to show me in 5000 years of recorded history one single paper currency that has survived. I will show you that there is not one single instance in 5000 years of recorded history when GOLD and SILVER did not survive! In fact gold and silver was just announced as the "best investment of the 21st century, making more that any other investment on earth! With the trillions of fraudulent worthless paper money being printed by all countries on earth, gold and silver will sky rocket as prices eventually inflate and the world's paper money is found to be worthless. I have people tell me that they cannot afford to buy gold, even at $150 for a 1/10th ounce coin. I think anybody can afford to spend one dollar for a pre-1965 dime. One day soon each silver dime will be worth at least $10 or more! Don't forget...30 years ago silver went to $50 per ounce! This time it could go to $250 per ounce or more! Trade some of your worthless paper money for gold and silver and don't be caught without JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD!

Fort Knox is the depository of all U.S. gold. Our governnent has not allowed an audit of the gold or allowed anybody to check how much is in Fort Knox for over 50 years, since Eisenhower was president! Estimates run from $40 billion to $137 billion in gold is now left in Fort Knox.

Consider this: All the gold ever mined in the history of the world is 5 billion ounces. With gold at approximately $1200 per ounce there can only exist 6 trillion dollars in gold on the entire face of the earth. Our gold in Fort Knox supposedly backed our U.S. dollar until 1971. Our finances as well as everything in our lives are controlled by laws. We can divide the laws into three general groups. These are not necessarily all inclusive. There can be some other laws, but these laws are looked at in three general categories to make it easier for us to understand certain principles. God made PHYSICAL LAWS such as the Law of Gravity. If a person jumps off the roof he will come crashing down to the ground. It matters not whether the person is a Christian or a heathen. The Law of Gravity applies equally to all. God made SOCIAL LAWS such as the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” The terrific results from following this law are universally the same whether you are a Christian or a heathen. There is a third class of laws that many people are not familiar with. We will call them SPIRITUAL LAWS. They are laws that are totally dependent on God to make work, but they work as consistently as any of the other laws He has put into place. An example of this is the Law for a Long Life. God says in the book of Exodus, “Children, obey and honor your father and mother that your days may be long on the earth.” This law applies to Christians as well as to heathen. I once worked for a wicked man who was very old. One of my young friends was killed in a car accident. I became very upset at God for taking a good Christian young man before his time and at the same time allowing such a wicked old man to continue living. The Lord eventually showed me through investigation that my young friend, although a good Christian, was very disrespectful toward his mother. He did not always honor and obey her, and he often rudely talked back to her. I talked with my wicked old boss about his relationship with his parents. He told me something surprising. He always honored and respected them and never once dared talk back to them even if he didn’t like what they said or what they made him do. God showed me then and there that HE applies HIS laws equally to all persons and discriminates against none! The Laws of God, whether Physical, Social, or Spiritual always work no matter who applies them.
There is a primary Law of Finances that falls under the SPIRITUAL LAWS. If we obey this law, God guarantees that he will bless us financially. This law always works without exception! It is the Law of Tithing (giving 10% of our income back to God). Let’s go back to the earliest records in history, to the children of the first people ever to live on earth. God commanded Cain and Able to give a “first fruits” tithe of what they produced to Him. They could not keep it for themselves. From that point on, history records that God commanded people of every age to tithe to Him. The practice became corrupted in heathen societies with people giving tithes and sacrifices to their false Gods. Although confused and distorted they knew that tithing was a primary Spiritual Law for prosperity. The Bible, as well as history, is full of testimonies of the blessings that come from tithing and the curses that come from being stingy with God. The Bible says, “The tithe is mine, says the LORD.” The greatest Bible verses on the subject are in Malachi 3:8-10, where God talks directly to mankind. “Do honest people rob God? But you rob me day after day.
“You ask, ‘How have we robbed you?’
“The tithe and the offering—that’s how! And now you’re under a curse—the whole lot of you—because you’re robbing me. Bring your full tithe to the Temple (Church) treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams!” THE MESSAGE BIBLE
Great men like John Cash (J.C.) Penny, Andrew Carnegie, and John D. Rockefeller all proclaim that they got their wealth by giving 10% of everything they earned to God, even when they had hardly anything. It is possible to get wealth without tithing (even criminals can get wealth), but not without sorrow, the Bible says in Proverbs that when God gives wealth “it is with no sorrow.”
Many years ago I purchased a small café and set up a man in his wife in business. They were to operate the café as their own and simply pay me 10% of the profits each week. This went along fine for awhile, but eventually as the café prospered they became greedy and wanted more. They started taking my 10% claiming that their family needs had increased and there wasn’t enough money left each week to pay me. Finally, one night they packed up and left with all the money, equipment, and even a car I had loaned them for their business! I thought about how many of us rob God and think nothing of it!
I remember in my own case, that my wife and I were very poor in the beginning. We did not have a regular salary and some months we didn’t know if there would be enough to make it. I practiced tithing then. My wife would argue and say that we couldn’t afford to pay tithes to God or we really would end up with nothing! I decided to trust God at HIS word and tithe anyway. I told my wife that I would rather starve than rob God. Over the years God has blessed us both beyond our wildest dreams for being faithful to HIM. God will do the same thing for anybody needing help with their finances. God never lies, and his governing LAWS always work for everybody, whether Christian or heathen.

Our government, the banks, and the titans of industry are all lying to the people! Knowing where we were headed, in 2007, Ben Bernanke, the head of the Federal Reserve, told Americans, “the subprime problem will be contained, the U. S. economy will be insulated, and the total bank losses will be under 200 billion dollars.” And now they want us to believe that recovery has started and all will be well. Shame on us for believing anything they say! Liars! Liars! The Bible says in Proverbs 11:1, “God hates cheating in the marketplace; he loves it when business is aboveboard.” The Message Bible.
By summer several more big lies will begin to emerge. The Fed’s stress test on banks is flawed. The test puts the jobless rate at 7%. This is a big lie! Their own March figures already shows the jobless rate at
8 ½% for the nation, but some states like Oregon and Michigan are over 12%! BUT, people without jobs (those who have given up looking for jobs) are really at 17%!! The government doesn’t want us know these figures so they disguise them.

The other big cover-up banks are using to pass the Federal Reserve’s Stress Test is to hold back many of their repossessed houses from being sold. Then they list them as an asset on their balance sheets at the original loan amount rather than selling them for a drastic loss. When this stress test thing is all completed they intend to dump another load of Repos on the market! The banks are doing this in order to remain falsely solvent and pass the Stress Test. This way they can fool the general public for awhile longer. Liars! Liars!

The Case-Shiller Housing Index for America’s 20 major cities shows that house prices have still declined 19% in this last year. Now 30% of people with prime mortgages cannot refinance at a lower rate because the equity in their houses is lower than what they owe. Now most borrower’s Home Equity Lines of Credit are also being closed. Falling home prices are causing many good people to stop making payments on their houses because they see it the same as flushing good money down the toilet! This means a new flood of repossessed homes is soon coming. The sale of Repos is now 60% of all types of sales generated in most states. Famed bank analyst, Meredith Whitney, says houses will fall at least another 30%! If this is true (she has been totally correct to date) then we are only about half way on bank losses! The Bloomberg News reports that since the crises began in Aug 2007 the Government rescue of the financial system (banks, insurance companies, auto industry, Wall Street and others) has cost the public (involuntary investors) 12.8 trillion dollars!

The single biggest factor of foreclosures now is job losses. No government program saves people’s houses from foreclosure with discontinued income. In California the Foreclosure Moratorium was lifted and between February and March foreclosures jumped 80% hitting 50,000 homes foreclosed in just one month!

Our government is now lying to us again about how much shorter and less severe this crisis is apt to be than what was originally thought. The IMF (International Monetary Fund), the world’s bank, just warned, “This crisis has the same parallels as the Great Depression, only it will be much more unusually long and severe.” This one will affect the whole earth! When Jesus’ disciples asked him about the signs of the last days, in Matthew 24, He tells them in verses 21 and 22, “There is going to be trouble on a scale beyond what the world has ever seen, or will ever see again. If these days of trouble were left to run their course, nobody would make it. But on account of God’s chosen people, the trouble will be cut short.” Hundreds of years earlier, the prophet Daniel said of the end times in chapter 12, verses one and two, “It will be a time of trouble, the worst trouble the world has ever seen. But God’s people will be saved from the trouble, every last one found written in the Book. Many who have been long dead and buried will wake up, some to eternal life, others to eternal shame.” The Message Bible.

China is another factor in end time prophecy. For all of world history China has been contained in the East with little contact from the West. Over a century ago, Napoleon Bonaparte pointed on the other side of Asia’s longest river, the 1700 mile Euphrates, and said of that nation in the East, “There lays a sleeping giant. Let him sleep! If he wakes, he will shake the world." In the Bible, Revelations chapters 9 and 16 describe in the last days that giant of the East waking up and with 200 million men crossing the dry Euphrates River and spreading toward the West. China wants to conquer the West financially. As of March 2009, China now has the strongest banking system on earth, with 2 trillion dollars in cash on hand and hardly any foreign debt. Our government lies about our financial strength. We are the deepest in debt of all the nations on earth and have not had ANY money for years! China is presently buying up South America’s natural resources like copper, oil, forests, and all raw materials. They are presently attempting to take over major industries in 30 to 40 different countries by controlling all their natural resources! (Reported by the TELEGRAPH) This gets even scarier when we remember that the Bible teaches us “the borrower is the servant of the lender.” China is our number one lender and holds the biggest part of America’s debt!

We cannot control all these world events, but each of us can get our own lives in order and live wisely to escape all of this terrible stuff. God promises in Daniel 12:3, “Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever!” The Message Bible

The amount of money that you can spend trying to prevent the inevitable can stretch towards infinity.

This is why all government programs don't work. The government keeps trying to spend money to solve problems in society that are impossible to solve. You can't fight poverty by giving people money that they didn't earn and don't deserve. You can't restore the economy by keeping incompetent and bankrupt business managers in power. And you can't stop inflation by printing money.
I saw a sign at the store that asked me to donate to the disabled, since 1 in 5 Americans is on disability. I thought, "That's 1 in 5 Americans who are scamming the government and helping to fuel the fires of inflation, and doing more to help silver prices rise than I ever could."
Printing money to fight inflation is a losing battle. That would be like trying to put out a fire by putting more wood on it.
People without any faith in God often think that the government has Godlike superhuman powers such as the ability to stop the tides, plug up a volcano, hold back the wind, see into a locked up safe, or to stop inflation. The government is made up only of people who are far inferior to you and me, and like us, they can do none of those things.
People who get too caught up in conspiracy theories sometimes attribute evil subversive genius to their enemies in the government, and as a result, they get irrationally fearful. But you should never attribute evil subversive genius to those in government, when plain old incompetence and idiocy are perfectly reasonable explanations for their behavior.
Prior silver investors should hate me.
I've done my part to try to lower silver prices, as I continue to mint and sell as much silver as is in my capacity, which has continued to lower premiums for silver ever since last October, helping to reduce the silver shortages for investors, and reducing potential silver investor panic-buying. I've even helped to lower the premiums on my own stash of silver rounds, hurting even myself. By selling silver, I help to provide the "illusion" that "nothing is wrong", as you can "buy all the silver and gold you want" from coin dealers, while I know my own capacity is severely limited.
In theory, I'm doing more to hold the economy together than the government. And if the government ever attacked me, like they tend to do to gold dealers during times of hyperinflation, that would only tend to make hyperinflation that much worse.
What do illegal drugs cost? More than they otherwise would, right?
Same thing will happen to silver and gold if the government makes their trade illegal.
To continue to sell silver and gold, I would have to screen potential buyers by having some sort of "Bible Quiz" that they would have to pass first, that no government agent could ever pass, and premiums would skyrocket of course, due to the danger to myself if I were to break such laws.
But government is not rational; it is incompetent by nature. As are we.
Potential silver investors should love me. But it's the reverse. People who are just beginning to think about investing in silver often send me hate mail, as I burst so many of their illusions about life. After I answer a few of their questions, but still before they buy any silver, they begin to warm up. It's only after they buy silver that they become fans.
Silver investors should love Obama. I shouldn't say how they really feel, as I tried that once and got only hate mail.
Obama is doing more to raise silver prices than anyone I know. His policies of continued bail outs, stimulus packages, and inflationary government spending on economic recovery plans will do more to help silver investors than I ever could. Not only is Obama the "gun salesman of the year", he is also the "gold and silver bullion salesman of the year"! But while gun sales have gone up, silver and gold sales have literally exploded.
Yet silver investors love me, and hate Obama--they stopped buying rounds with his likeness on them, and yet he should be our hero. We are clearly a confused bunch.
Just so that we are clear, I have no fondness for anyone who plans to take away any of our God given freedoms, and yes, our freedoms come from God, not the Constitution. And the constitution is supposed to restrict only the government, and not us.
People should be buying silver like there's no tomorrow. Buying silver is a form of savings, of course.
The amount of paper money that will be spent trying to "protect itself from inflation" will stretch towards infinity. And when that happens, the prices for gold and silver will head there, too.

And when things go bad, let's remember who made them that way. The government. The government printed up all that paper money and caused all that inflation. I didn't ever do anything to make silver and gold prices go up. I just may have helped a few people buy a bit earlier than they otherwise would have, and surely turned away countless others from silver who told me I was absolutely crazy, and I suppose I helped provide some entertainment along the way.

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!

The great German, Hegel, wrote, “History proves that man learns nothing from history.” Unless we as a people heed history’s warnings, we will totally destroy our U.S. dollar.
In the 1980’s the Zimbabwe dollar was one of the most valuable currencies on the planet. It was worth One Zimbabwe Dollar to One and a Half U. S. Dollars. During the early 1990’s they began to have financial problems in their country and decided the way to help pay some of their debt was to print more Zimbabwe Dollars. They came out with a Two Dollar Bill that eventually went from a value of $2 U.S. to $10 U.S! During the 2000’s, their banks and industries went through great difficulty and the Zimbabwe government decided to allow Dr. Gono, the Federal Reserve Governor, to print up trillions of Zimbabwe Dollars and give it out to prevent massive bankruptcies. By 2008, the Zimbabwe Dollar had inflated to a point that it took many pallets of dollars to purchase a loaf of bread! It required a new Fifty Trillion Dollar Bill to equal ONE U.S. Dollar!! Is history about to repeat itself in the United States of America?
Yesterday, the U. S. Federal Reserve made a decision to print up another Trillion Dollars to bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ($750 Billion) again and to buy U.S. Treasurys ($300 Billion)! Before yesterday, the U.S. Government was already spending a Billion Dollars a day that it didn’t have, and adding to its debt FOUR TIMES FASTER than it was getting paid down! Government officials said they can pay this debt down by merely inflating the currency! As they do so, gold and silver will go up many times over what it is now!
The New York Times reported that there are now 14 million EMPTY homes in America! The article went on to say that most of the people who lost homes moved into cheap motel rooms, where they will stay until they are put onto the street!
Soon commodities are going to soar like in Zimbabwe and eventually grocery shelves will start to empty and the hurting people are going to really be in pain.
In Deuteronomy 4:1-9, God tells us that Israel was once a great nation. Then HE warns us to learn from history in verse nine. “Just make sure you stay alert. Keep close watch over yourselves. Don’t forget anything of what you’ve seen. Don’t let your heart wander off. Stay vigilant as long as you live. Teach what you’ve seen to your children and grandchildren.” THE MESSAGE BIBLE

A SKELETON OF WHAT WE ONCE WERE!

In the Bible, God commands us to pray for our leaders. If there was ever a time to pray that our leaders will start making good decisions then that time is now. We need to pray for our country because in the end everything done in our country directly and indirectly affects us and our families. That effect will either be beneficial or detrimental.
For many years now we have been moving to Socialism in our country. The whole mentality of everyday citizen is changing. We want the Government to give us more and more benefits and more and more money. If the government does not have the money, let them take it from those that made wise decisions and made the money and redistribute it.

While our government is sliding into Socialism, many of the Communist and Socialist governments of the world are moving to Capitalism. They are becoming what our nation used to be. A prime example is China. They have taken government hands off their industries and capitalistic markets and have allowed them to operate (sink or swim) on their own with the appropriate awards offered by their own success or failure. A prime example is China’s Shanghai Stock Index which outperformed the USA’s industries and Wall Street by 75%!! China is aggressively protecting its FREE MARKET, while our government is destroying ours with massive bailouts of banks, insurance companies, auto makers, housing markets, States, and just about anybody else needing a handout from the protesting tax payers!!
I loved listening to the words from Socialist Sweden’s Prime Minister this week. To keep GM automakers from going belly-up our Capitalistic (ha ha ha) government gave GM 16 billion dollars. GM is the parent company of SAAB of Sweden. SAAB is ready to go bankrupt unless the Swedish government gives them a bailout. This week, Sweden’s Prime Minister signed SAAB’s death warrant by these words: “NO! The voters of Sweden did not elect me to spend hard earned tax payer’s money to buy loss making car factories!”
Every citizen had better call our congressmen and flood them with opposition to what our government is doing and then they better start praying like crazy, as God directed us to do!! If we don’t, we will only have a skeleton to remind us of what we once were!

A Budget WILL save you!

In order to be successful in this economy, every family must stay on a budget. A budget is a plan for success. Without it you automatically have a plan for failure. The Bible teaches that a person is a fool who does not plan for the future. When I do financial seminars I always seem to have somebody come and tell me that a budget would not work for them. They will say something like this: “Budgets may work for some people, but a budget would not work for us. We already have more expense than our total income! There is nothing left to budget.”
This family NEEDS a budget worse than the family with money left over. A budget can effectively help lift you out of debt. Debt is a horrible thing that slowly destroys people’s lives. In Proverbs, the Bible says, “The borrower is the SLAVE of the lender.” Saint Paul in the New Testament, wisely admonishes people, “Owe no man anything.”
Marriage counselors are reporting that finances is the number one marital problem that destroys families. It is hard to believe that something as simple as a budget can be the “lifesaver” people need to save their financial futures and homes!
For a budget to work, IT HAS TO BECOME THE LAW OF THE HOUSE! It becomes the boss, much like a king of old. Nobody can go anyplace or buy anything without consulting the KING (budget). It is necessary to get every member of the family to buy into the idea and agree to work together to make it succeed. People will find it actually becomes fun and very self satisfying to make a budget work.
There are plenty of self helps out there for somebody to get as a guide that needs assistance in getting started. The main thing is to get started NOW!
Make a list of all the bills that are NON-DESCRETIONARY FIXED EXPENSE S. Make sure that you don’t put even one item on this list that isn’t an absolute need for survival. What is the total? How much money per month do you have left after deducting your absolute needs? The remainder is ALL YOU HAVE to pay for the remainder of your expenses. Now you list all the rest of your budget item amounts. Then comes the hardest part of the budget process—prioritizing the remainder of expenses. Sometimes some REAL SACRIFICES will have to be made, but you will find that you can actually survive without some of the things that you thought were absolute necessities. Don’t try to weasel out of this painful process. The most important thing during this time of making a budget is pray and ask God for his help!

GET OUT OF STOCKS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

I have been urging all my family and friends to get out of their stocks and get into gold, silver or cash for over a year now. I read Weber’s Global Opportunity Report, and he has always been right on! Recently, I read his story that I will share with you.

A 16-year old paperboy named Chris Weber from Phoenix, Arizona, had just been dumped by his girlfriend. It was a hot summer that year, and Chris thought he'd stay at home and read books. The first book he read was Harry Browne's How You Can Profit from the Coming Devaluation.

"It was a revelation," says Chris. "It is still the best explanation of what money is, and how it develops, that I have ever read. After that, it was 'off to the races...'"

At the time, the world was living in a fixed currency system. The U.S. government had set the gold price at $35 an ounce, and foreign currencies were fixed against the dollar. The U.S., therefore, had the wonderful power to print paper dollars and tell the rest of the world they were redeemable for gold. The problem was, the government started abusing this privilege in the late 1960s, inflating the dollar to pay for Vietnam.

Chris realized the system couldn't last, and sooner or later the country would have to devalue the dollar against gold. So in July 1971, he bicycled down to the local coin dealer and spent $650 – all the money he had saved from his paper route – on British gold sovereign coins. (At the time, it was still illegal for Americans to own gold. Collectors' coins were exempt. The coins cost $12 each.)

His timing was perfect. By the end of the summer, foreign governments had stopped supporting the dollar and were asking for gold instead. On August 15, 1971, President Nixon closed the "gold window." He cut the link between the U.S. dollar and gold. That December, Nixon devalued the dollar against gold by about 8.5%.

As the price started going up, Chris started trading his gold coins back and forth at the local coin shop. “I still don't know how I did it, but when I thought the price was going up too far, too fast, and had gotten ahead of itself, I sold my coins. I waited until I thought the rise was going again and then I would buy them back. By the time I finished high school in Phoenix, Arizona, I was rich," Chris says.

In 1980, by the end of the decade, gold hit $850 an ounce and Chris' little gold sovereigns were over $300 each. When he saw the crowd piling in with gold at its high, he knew the game was up. He dumped his gold coins and invested the profits in 20% Treasury bonds... an investment he still holds today.

The paper route at age 16 was the last job Chris ever had. Chris has since made millions from his investments and spent his life traveling around the world. He thankfully records his thoughts on stocks, currencies, and commodities in his Weber Global Opportunities Report.

Sean Goldsmith interviewed Chris last week. Chris now says "This continues to be a time to be safe and on the sidelines. I believe that the ultimate lows of the stock market are going to be much lower than even today's prices, but it may take years – and months of fake rallies – to get us there."

YOU CAN TURN IDEAS INTO DOLLARS!

Today I hear of more people losing their jobs and some having their hours cut back. If there was ever a time to make a budget and cut spending it is now! One of the best tips is to make a list of items necessary for purchase before going to the store. Discipline yourself to buy only the items on the list. Marketing psychologists already have an unfair jump on the average consumer, and will sometimes cause even the best of us to end up purchasing something we really didn’t need. There is a difference between “wants” and “needs.” The Bible says, “I will supply all your needs through Christ Jesus.”
I listened to an interview this morning with America’s #1 inventor. He said most of the great inventions have come from good people suffering hard times during depression. In the Bible, God says that he will give those that serve him “witty inventions.” The game of Monopoly, the car radio, and many other things we use today were all invented during the great depression of the 1930’s. The inventors were blessed by God with millions of dollars! In other words, if we will turn our lives over to Jesus Christ, he will give us “ingenious ideas” (as one Bible translation says), for making extra money even if we are not making enough or have lost our job. In the Bible’s Book of Psalms, David says that he has “never seen the righteous forsaken or God’s children begging for bread.”
Many have turned their hobbies into something fun and profitable. Study well about something before you attempt it and you can make money at it. My brother and I loved collecting coins from childhood days. We both helped put ourselves through college with our collections and then continued on with it to this day. Many times at gun shows, yard sales flee marts, and antique shops, we have found astounding bargains. We have purchased silver coins at a fraction of their melt value. I have purchased old British Queen Victoria Sovereign Gold coins or old U.S. gold coins, like the one pictured, for a fraction of their gold value because they were being sold as a 12 or 14 Karat piece of jewelry just like the gold in which they were mounted. The person selling them must not have taken into account when they priced them that unlike the bezel and chain, the coins are almost pure gold, NOT 14 KARAT GOLD! With the increase in the gold price over time I am sure that they still made money over what they originally paid when they purchased the coin jewelry.
One of the greatest things anybody can do in order to start prospering is to put God first in their lives. God is not intimidated by a depression nor is he afraid that he can’t give you everything you need. God actually wants to give his children that serve him healthy, wealthy, happy lives. In Third John, of the Bible, it says: “Beloved, I desire above ALL things that you prosper and also be in health, to the same degree that your soul is growing and prospering.” This verse is saying, If our souls get fed on God’s Word and prayer, and thereby prosper, then the other parts of our lives will be healthy and prosper too! Jesus also says in Matthew 6:33, “If you put first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these other things you need will be multiplied into your life!” THE MESSAGE BIBLE says, “You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met”

SILVER IS THE POOR MAN'S GOLD

Today I listened on T.V. to Jim Cramer urging everybody to buy silver. He called it the poor man’s gold and tried to show how underpriced it is in relationship to gold. He said that the day will come when it will be worth as much as gold. I also listened to the news stations telling more of the crimes committed by AIG, one of the world’s largest corporations, and how the USA is bailing them out again with no hope in sight for them to recover or pay back a dime of taxpayer money. I also heard than the world’s biggest swindler, Bernie Madoff, is having his first day in court today.
God has a warning and a blessing for all of us in Proverbs 11:3-8
“God hates cheating in the marketplace; he loves it when business is aboveboard…
The integrity of the honest keeps them on track; the deviousness of crooks brings them to ruin. A thick bankroll is no help when life falls apart, but a principled life can stand up to the worst. Moral character makes for smooth traveling; and an evil life is a hard life. Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust. When the wicked die, that’s it—the story’s over, end of hope. A good person is saved from much trouble; a bad person runs straight into it”. MESSAGE BIBLE
In the long haul silver is supposed to do better than gold for an investment and as an insurance against runaway inflation. Cramer and other financial counselors are now recommending that a person puts at least 20% of their assets into silver. Every family should have at least a half bag ($500 face value) for each family member of “junk silver” (pre-1965 dimes, quarters and halves), which are valued not for their face value, but for their silver content. These can be purchased at coin shops or on eBay. As in other countries and in other times of history, when there is hyper-inflation, a person can use these to purchase goods at the going price of silver. If you wanted cash, any coin store will act as a bank and give you paper money for your silver at that day’s spot price for silver with a small commission for the transaction. (For example: $1.00 for an old silver dime.) Buying some silver regularly is smart like regularly buying extra grocery items to save in your pantry for a rainy day. Sacrifice now. When hard times come you will win!

We are in a DEFLATIONARY PERIOD...TEMPORARILY

The easiest way to explain "deflation" and "inflation" is with this simple example.
If a man sold his very rare 10 karat diamond to one person for $10,000, there would be several people who would be able to pay $1,000 for it and many others would pay $100 for it. Now suppose the man figures out how to make fake diamonds that even the best jewelers in the world cannot determine if they are genuine. Now he has an opportunity to sell several for the $5,000 offers. Once people find that more of these gems that exist than what they originally thought, what do you suppose is going to happen to the value of the original diamond? Then the man decides to mass produce his huge diamonds and sell them at whatever the market will bring. He sells many of them for even $100, but eventually he can’t sell any of them for even a $100. He keeps producing the fakes until anybody can buy one for $1. The value has been “deflated” because of the increased supply.
To simplify things, the nations of the world, including the good old USA, have flooded the planet with more than 100 trillion dollars in fake money! It has no gold or silver to back it up. The bubbles have all popped and now all commodities are temporarily crashing because people are not buying. They are not buying houses, oil, gasoline, automobiles, and even food. Some commodities naturally depreciate after purchase like automobiles, furniture, and clothing. However, there are other commodities that are a great investment. When gasoline deflated to $1.39 per gallon a couple of months ago, that would have been the buy of the century! But, where would you store all of the 50 gallon barrels of gasoline that you could buy at that price?
In Ecclesiastes 11, God tells people to invest in at least seven different areas, so when “ill winds” or catastrophes happen, it will not affect all your assets. One of the best things a family can do right now is to buy grocery items that can be easily stored. They are better than money in a savings account, and in a few months “deflation” will turn into “inflation.” When that happens, food costs, like gasoline is doing now, will start to go up. There will eventually be shortages that will compound the problem and grocery items could start to go through the roof! Eventually we will have “hyper-inflation.”
Watch for sales and start to accumulate soap, cases of tuna, coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue paper, all kinds of canned veggies and meats. We called some of the canning companies and asked them about the danger of canned goods going past their expiration date. They said that most canned goods will be safe many years past the expiration date as long as the can has NO DENTS and still has its vacuum seal. This can save a family a ton of money in the future!

God says in Proverbs 21:31: “Do your best, prepare for the worst—

SURVIVING IN THIS ECONOMY

With everything around us crashing, what is a person to do? The news stations all say we are in unchartered territory and nobody knows what is going to happen. After I hear of all the nations over the earth that are in financial trouble I agree that this has never happened before. However, I don’t agree that we don’t know what is going to happen.

Since the beginning of recorded history there has never been a paper currency that has survived. China tried it unsuccessfully over and over for hundreds of years before other nations gave it a whirl. Each time it failed miserably. The third time they tried it was with Kubala Khan . He made paper money from tree bark and forced everybody to use it and give him all their gold. Anybody not accepting his bark money in transactions was executed!

After World War I, the German Republic tried to print enough paper money to buy their way out of debt. With no gold or silver backing their “Ponzi” scheme, eventually nobody wanted the valueless paper money. It got so bad that it took a wheelbarrow of German Marks to buy a loaf of bread. That was called “hyper-inflation.”

In our own time we watched the nation of Zimbabwe destroy its money by printing trillions of dollars, that had no backing of gold or silver, that was used for bailouts. A few years ago their dollar was equal to one of our dollars. Now it takes millions of their dollars to buy one of ours! Another case of hyper-inflation.
The second thing that has never survived since the beginning of recorded history is banks. Eventually they all used marginal lending (lending many times over the amount on deposit) and went broke when there was default. Even putting people in debtor’s prison did not help the banks to recover their bad loans.

The banks were so stupid to allow people to use their home equity as an ATM machine, and because of greed make loans to more borrowers that couldn’t or shouldn’t be in a purchased home in the first place! And now we are printing trillions of dollars for bailouts! And the money is worthless...people just aren't smart enough yet to figure that out..give them time..they will!

History seems to prove that people are stupid and never learn anything from history.
God says in Proverbs 19:3, “People ruin their lives by their own stupidity, so why does God always get blamed?” THE MESSAGE BIBLE

The only thing that has survived since the beginning of man and never had its value go to ZERO is GOLD! (and silver)

It is the ONLY investment to consistently gain value for every year of this new century. Look at the price of gold per ounce on the close of each year: 2000=$273.60
2001=279.00
2002=348.20
2003=416.10
2004=438.40
2005=518.90
2006=638.00
2007=838.00
2008=885.50
Don’t be stupid. Buy some gold for financial insurance. Make sure you buy the kind you take possesion of and not the kind somebody holds for you and gives you a certificate of ownership for it!

As I sat and contemplated all the things I am most thankful for this season, I decided that beyond a doubt my sweet wife was the one person for whom I am most thankful! I knelt down and gratefully thanked the Lord for the wonderful qualities that He placed in his little handmaiden, Anita. I decided to thing about each one and list them so I could give specific THANKS for each endearing trait. I call it my “THANK YOU LIST.”

FIFTY THINGS ABOUT ANITA TO BE THANKFUL FOR THIS DAY:
1. She always thinks of others before herself.
2. She is very compassionate with anyone suffering.
3. She is 100% loyal to God and to her husband.
4. She is a true servant of Jesus.
5. She waits on her husband and comes to his beck and call.

VICTORY OVER THE THREE DEADLY “D’S”
I SAMUEL 22:1-2
1. David, therefore, departed from there, and escaped to the cave, Adulam (which means ‘the place of rest’);
2. And every one who was in DISTRESS, and every one who was in DEBT, and every one who was DISCONTENTED, gathered themselves unto him; and he became captain (Czar) over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
The Bible teaches that King David in the Old Testament was a type of Jesus (his descendant) in the New Testament. David was anointed King as a young man, but many years would pass before he was able to take the kingdom and sit upon his own throne. Jesus was anointed King and many years have passed before he will finally sit upon his forefather David’s throne.
While David was waiting for the time to come when he could occupy his throne, he encouraged the misfits of society that were in DISTRESS, in DEBT and DISCONTENTED, to come to him and find rest. The old King Saul of the present government establishment had no regard for these kinds of people. They were a burden on his society and he didn’t really want them. Those broken under too much STESS had to be cared for; those in DEBT had to be supported; those that were DISCONTENTED had to be dealt with as “rabble rousing rioters.” The establishment did not want them!
In the New Testament, Jesus said a similar thing to the misfits of society, “Come unto me all of you that are weary of life and burdened down and I will give you rest.”
The only way that David could help these troubled people was to become a Czar (captain, prince) to them. The Hebrew word Czar is used for David and his coming son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. It is a term that means a Prince or Captain that holds complete dominion over all kings and all other leaders. Revelations 1:5-6, says that Jesus Christ will be made “the Czar (Prince) of the Kings of the earth.” In other words, these stressed out people wouldn’t go any place or do anything without finding out from David if it was OK. This total obedience was the only way he could radically change their lives. He saw them as successful and as leaders in the land even though they looked upon themselves as failures. When they allowed David to take control of their lives, he methodically delivered them from DISTRESS, DEBT, and DISCONTENTMENT, and helped them see themselves as successful leaders of society and not dismal failures. When you read the stories in II Chronicles, you will find that every one of those misfit failures that came to David were promoted to be the leaders of the nation when he took his kingdom and sat upon his throne!
God sees us not as we see ourselves. We see ourselves as not being “up to par” in many areas. God looks at us as the finished success that he is methodically constructing. We are his work in progress. If we will allow Jesus to become the Czar (Captain) over our lives, he will give us complete victory over the three deadly D’s.
The first “D” is DISTRESS. Doctors sometimes tell patients that they have to get away from stress or it is going to destroy them. That is crazy! Nobody can get away from stress. There is stress all around us—stress from the economy, stress from the work place, stress from relationships, and countless other things. The secret is to live in the stress but not become DISTRESSED (full of pressure, anxiety and worry). In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew 5:25-34, he uses 228 words (more than any other subject) trying to show us how to overcome being worried or stressed out. He uses examples of plants and animals that don’t worry about where they live or where their next meal is coming from in order to show us that the loving heavenly Father cares for us even more than these, and if we recognize him as our Lord then he is going to supply all of our needs. Research has shown that becoming distressed with worry breaks down resistance to all diseases, retards our potential, and slowly destroys our very life. Jesus says, “I have come that you might have life, and a more abundant life!” John 10:10
The second “D” is DEBT. In the book of Proverbs God says, “The borrower becomes the slave of the lender.” Our loving Father doesn’t want any of his children to go through life being tortured with the weight of debt and being enslaved to the banks and lenders. Debt causes people to have to get extra jobs. Debt causes both husband and wife to have to work. Debt and the handling of money is the number one cause of marital problems. Debt is destroying our nation and our society. God wants his kids to lead carefree lives of love without owing anybody money. In the New Testament God says, “Owe no man anything, except love.” In Malachi 3:8-10 God promises to help us get out of debt and to bless us unbelievably if we will quit robbing him of his tithe (10 percent) of our income. If we will stop robbing God and pay our tithes and offerings, he says, “Test me and see if I won’t open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing that will be so great you won’t even have room enough to receive it!”
If we become faithful in giving God his 10 percent, he will show us how to budget the other 90 percent, and give us ideas for “clever inventions.” He will show us how to make money with less effort and send money to us from surprising sources.
The third “D” is being DISCONTENT. Discontentment comes from the failure of our plans. Many scriptures in the book of Proverbs address the need of asking God for counsel and instruction in our plans. God wants us to succeed in our plans and visions for the future if they are in alignment with his will for our lives. The ideal thing to do is to find out from God HIS plan for our life and once we know that plan we can pursue it with no fear of failure. When we pursue plans that don’t work out our lives can easily become filled with discontentment. In Proverbs 3:5-6 God shows us three steps to finding out his direction for our life and any plans we have. Once you are sure God is directing your visions and plans, don’t quit even if you seem to fail. Generally God will allow many frustrations and some failures to build and equip you. Even with setbacks and failures, do not become discontent or it can destroy what you would have eventually accomplished.
Some years ago a farmer discovered a gold nugget while plowing his land. He dug day after day looking for the gold vein that was the source of the nugget. This continued month after month and year after year. Finally after twenty years of failing to find the vein, the farmer became frustrated with his failure to find gold. Becoming discontent he decided to sell his farm. The day after escrow closed, the new purchaser of the farm commenced digging at the exact spot where the farmer had quit. He only dug one more foot until he hit one of the largest gold veins ever discovered in America! The farmer became discontent and quit only one foot from the incredible riches he was seeking!
What would you attempt in your life if you knew God was at your side and it was impossible to fail?
Many years ago, a young man had a burning desire to serve America and help with the great problems our country was facing. Everything he attempted seemed to fail but he would not allow discontentment to stop him from pursuing his goals.
In ’31 he failed in business. In ’32 he was defeated for a seat in the state legislature. In ’33 he failed in business for the second time. In ’35 his sweetheart and the love of his life died. It affected him so badly that in ’36 he had a complete nervous breakdown. In ’38 he was defeated for State Speaker of the House. In ’40 he was defeated for elector. In ’43 he was defeated for U.S. Congress. In ’48 he was defeated for U.S. Congress again. In ’55 he was defeated for a seat in the U.S. Senate. In ’56 he was defeated in his bid for Vice-president of the United States. In ’58 he was defeated for a seat in the U.S. Senate again. In ’60, after 30 years of continual defeats, he was elected PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, becoming our greatest hero-ABRAHAM LINCOLN!!
When Jesus comes and takes his kingdom and sits on his throne, all of us misfits that have come to him at the “place of rest,” will be appointed as the kings and priests over all creation including the trillions of angelic beings in the heavens. Daniel, speaking prophetically of the end time said, “The Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints (followers) of the Most High; and the time came that they possessed the kingdom…And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole HEAVEN, shall be given to the people of the Most High.” Daniel 7:22 and 27
In the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, God tells us again about his great plan for our lives:
“Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Czar (Prince) over the kings of the earth. Praise unto him that loves us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. And he has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen! Revelation 1:5 and 6
BE FREE OF DISTRESS, DEBT AND DISCONTENTMENT. GOD HAS GREAT PLANS FOR US…NOW AND IN THE AGE TO COME!!

INCREDIBLE CHANGES ON THE NORTHWEST COAST!

We woke up this morning to snow all over the ground! This is the second time this year. What makes this so unique is that snow has never come this late...it is almost May! By 11:00 AM it was so warm out that you didn't need a jacket. Then in the late afternoon without warning we had a hard hail storm!! Jesus is coming soon!

CLASSIC CAR TRIP

Anita and I went on a Classic Car Road Trip with the Oregon Club. About a dozen of us went on the trip for 3 days. It was fabulous! We visited little towns near the Columbia River in Oregon and Washington, with museums, old houses, and an observatory. We got to see wild turkeys, bison, deer, peacocks, and other assorted animals. We traveled at times on dirt and gravel roads and stayed in old hotels and ate at unique restaurants where few tourists ever visit. Most of the group was our age. We made wonderful friends and had one of the most fun times we can ever remember!

The Oregon Coast at Lincoln City is one of the most amazing places in the USA! In one day the Pacific Ocean Coast went from snow and cold to cloudless beauty of a tropical Island! The pictures say it all.

We awoke this morning on May 28, 2008 to snow falling at our beach! It snowed long enough to cover everything with white powder and allow a few snow balls to be made. WHAT A RARE SIGHT ON THE BEACH!

MY BUDDY'S CARS

Today we got to visit the Lincoln City home of my buddy the car collector. His garage is nice enough to live in with a museum of extemely high price cars, service station memorabilia, and antique radios and old neon signs. You get to enjoy a pop at the bar while his antique juke box plays music from the 50's. He has eight classic cars at this house and another 30 plus at his Portland house. In addition there is a Schwin Motor Bicycle and a Skooter with a side-car. He has restored them all himself over the years and shows them at Pebble Beach. The Porch does a 115 MPH in second gear and the Shelby will make you drool. If it doesn't the Cuda certainly will, or the red T-Bird will put your feathers into a tailspin! I told him that I could stay there all day and play the juke box and dance around the incredible cars!!
